HSOPS Educates Staff Of Cape Coast Teaching Hospital On Tier 2 Pensions

The Education Committee of the Health Sector Occupational Pension Scheme (HSOPS) embarked on an education program for staff of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on 30th March, 2021. The Education Team was represented by Mr. Franklin Owusu Ansah and Mr. Emmanuel Yaw Appiah.
The participants were mostly staff expected to retire in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The education involved explanation of the three tier pension schemes, the nature and activities of the HSOPS, how to apply for one’s benefit upon retirement and also address their concerns.
The lead person, Mr Franklin Owusu Ansah made the presentation on behalf of the team, following which, the participants asked diverse questions which were answered appropriately. They were also guided in filling the enrollment forms and taken through the process of accessing information on the online membership portal on the Scheme’s website.
In all over sixty (60) participants were involved in the education session and nearly fifty five (55) participants were aided in filling the enrollment form. The facilitation was done in both English and Twi which made it more interactive.
