HSOPS educates members of the scheme at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

The Health Sector Occupational Pension Scheme (HSOPS) as part of its effort to educate its members, engaged staff of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) who are due for retirement within the next three years in an educative session on Monday, 29th March, 2021 at the hospital’s conference hall located at the Accidents and Emergency department.

The HSOPS Education Committee which was represented by Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo, Mr. Franklin Owusu Ansah and Mr. Alexander Kyei, took the over hundred participants through an overview of the three tier pension scheme, the operations of the HSOPS, the importance of facility and individual enrollment and when and how to claim your benefits.

The HSOPS team was also supported by representatives of its Scheme Administrator, Enterprise Trustees Limited, in the persons of Mrs. Evelyn Mensah-Attah, Regional Head and Mr. Benjamin Odame Offei, RPA for

Ashanti and Brong Ahafo.

It was a very interactive engagement as participants who had not already enrolled on the Scheme were assisted to fill their Enrollment forms and also taught how to fill their Benefit Claim Form upon retirement.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions which were answered appropriately. They requested for more of such engagements to adequately prepare them for their retirement.
